Portable field kit in a custom 3D-printed enclosure for RF work and on-the-go Linux.
The problem
Field RF and Linux work means carrying a laptop plus a pile of loose radio modules and cables.
What I built
- A custom 3D-printed enclosure that holds a Linux computer and RF modules together.
- Radio modules such as CC1101 and NRF24L01+ for sub-GHz and 2.4 GHz work.
The hard part
- Designing an enclosure that is printable, sturdy and keeps antennas and ports accessible.
Result
One self-contained kit for RF experiments and on-the-go Linux.
